Jio phone 2 and jio fiber launched announced at Reliance Industries’ 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday.
Jio Phone 2
Jio Phone 2 and jio fiber was launched in july 2018. It comes with a 2.4 inch QVGA display same as in the Jio Phone with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. Beneath the display their is a QWERTY keypad.
It has 512 MB of ram and 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 128 GB via a SD card. Jio Phone 2 has a primary camera of 2 megapixels and a 0.3 megapixel front camera.
The phone runs KAI OS and is powered by a 2000mAh battery.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and FM. The phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also comes with built-in Google Assistant for using voice commands in English and Hindi. Both the Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2 will also support Facebook, WhatsApp, and Youtube.
The Jio Phone will get the earlier mentioned apps via App store starting August 15th. The Jio Phone 2 is priced at an introductory price of Rs 2,999 and will be available from August 15th.
Reliance has officially launched Jio Giga Fiber fiber-to-the-home broadband service. Jio Fiber will be launched in 1100 cities in India. Jio is spending 2.5 lakh crore on Jio Fiber Internet connectivity and planning to reach 50 million customers in India.
Reliance announced that more than 10 thousand Beta Trails of Jio Fiber are already going on and from 15 August anyone can register for Jio Giga Fiber via Jio.com or My Jio app.
The Jio Giga Fiber is being touted as an all-in-one solution that takes care of broadband, IPTV, landline, video conferencing, virtual reality gaming, and beyond.
Jio Giga TV
Along with jio phone 2 and jio fiber jio also announced its set-top box Jio Giga Tv with voice remote and multiple Indian language support. It’s not just a usual set-top box, it can convert your tv to a smart tv.
It will include a smart voice controlled remote, with high-speed connectivity to fiber internet. Jio is aiming to connect all the smart devices together with its Jio Fiber because both the devices will interconnect with each other to provide the highest level of smart connectivity.
